I first met Bob through an old mutual friend, artist and writer, Russell Chatham of Livingston, Montana. We all fly fished together for bright King salmon during two seasons on Northern California's magnificent Smith River. Episodes from this period including many photos taken by Tusken appear in Chatham's wonderful book "Angler's Coast." An author himself, Tusken has written and published fly fishing stories in national magazines - which include Sports Afield. He is, without a doubt, one of the west's top anglers, certainly a qualification in itself. Bob has a solid background in teaching fly casting. He taught for two years through the community University program at Montana State University and while guiding ten years in West Yellowstone." |
